Costume

Design

"What a costume designer does is a cross between magic and camouflage. We create the illusion of changing the actors into what they are not.

We ask the public to believe that every time they see a performer on the screen, he's become a different person."

My passion for theater and cinematography started from a very young age. I have been always fascinated by the power of the costume to create the pure essence of a character of his or her role.

I am fascinated by the way fabric can reflect light and movement through it’s different weaves and textures .

Different combinations of colors, textures and style can send us immediately to the place where the director wants his/her audience to be.

The process of researching a certain    period of history comes with the intense eye to detail.

Cuffs, sleeves, textures, lace's, hats,

 jewelry, shoes, buttons, pleats etc....

are all extremely fascinating and a big part of the job .
